Welcome to Xtaster

Who are Xtaster?

Xtaster is a community that stretches the length and breadth of the UK whose members are into an ‘alternative’ lifestyle including rock, indie, punk, hip hop, R’n’B,, metal, dance and all sorts of other sounds and beats in between.
Together with our members we take on bands that we like and represent them around the UK.

Xtaster has grown from a group of dedicated music fans into a cutting edge network of really active music fans, promoters, writers, journos, web and graphic designers, musicians and all kinds of visual artists.

Our core is music (but we’re also into films and games and stuff), and our aim is to raise awareness of the bands we work with and to create a forum where we can all show off our skills.

We arm Xtaster members with the right tools to hit the streets and the web to create an impact within local areas across the UK. We bring you shit-hot bands and you introduce them to your local scene before anyone else.

The Xtaster website
The Xtaster site is owned by you, the Xtaster community and as such there are loads of opportunities for you to set the topics on the site and also to develop the content for it. We want you to tell us what cool new bands are making waves in your area; we want to give you the opportunity to write articles and essays about the issues affecting you; we want you interviewing bands and reviewing gigs and CDs.
The Xtaster site has 3 levels of participation.

The Open Area that you are in now is a lifestyle portal for those who love music and all the lifestyle elements associated with it. The site is updated continuously by both the Xtaster staff and by its members.  You’ll find a selection of our interviews, articles, reviews and information on music, events, film, lifestyle and more. The idea is that the site is a reflection of its members

The Members Area.  The same as the Open Area except you have full access to the interviews, articles, reviews and information throught our site. All of the content you see on the site and receive from us will be dictated by the band and genre choices you make when you sign up, so you’ll only get the shit your into. Membership is totally free and we’ll never ask you for any money.  

Click on the ‘Join now’ button to become a member. You have to fill out the registration form which gives us the information we need both to contact you and send you the stuff that you request. It also allows us to build a picture of who you are so we can contact you only about the things that you are interested in.

The Teamer Area gives you the same content and access as theMembers Area and is also totally free; but you’ll have the opportunity to take part in the full Xtaster experience.
